Trademarks and third-party software
ASIO
ASIO is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, registered in Europe and other countries.
Guitar Pick Click uses the Steinberg ASIO interface to read audio from your audio device at low latency. Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH is not affiliated with Felptec SpA and does not endorse this product.
JUCE
The native audio engine is built with JUCE, © Raw Material Software Limited, used under the JUCE licence.
Open-source components
Guitar Pick Click includes open-source software, principally Electron, React and their respective dependencies, used under their own licences. The complete list of components and licence texts is available in the application under About, and in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES file bundled with the installation.
Other marks
Windows is a trademark of the Microsoft group of companies. Any other product or company name mentioned on this site is the property of its respective owner and is used for identification purposes only.
Licence terms
What you are buying
You are buying a licence to use Guitar Pick Click, not the software itself. The licence is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, is granted for an indefinite term, and is paid once.
What the licence allows
- Installing and using the application on up to two devices that you own or control.
- Releasing a device and activating another one — for instance when you replace a computer.
- Using the application for any purpose, including teaching, recording and commercial work.
- Reinstalling as often as you need, using the email address and licence key from your receipt.
What the licence does not allow
- Sharing, reselling, lending or publishing your licence key.
- Redistributing the installer as your own, or bundling it into another product.
- Circumventing or removing the activation mechanism.
Studying the software's behaviour, and any reverse engineering that applicable law expressly permits, remain unaffected by the paragraph above.
Updates
Updates within the same major version are included at no additional cost and are delivered through the application's built-in updater. No specific future feature is promised, and no timetable is guaranteed.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided as it is. Felptec SpA does not warrant that it will be free of errors, that note detection will be accurate under every playing condition or with every audio device, or that it will be compatible with hardware or drivers it has not been tested on. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Felptec SpA's total liability arising from the software is limited to the amount you paid for the licence.
Nothing on this page limits any consumer right that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence. If a clause conflicts with such a right, that right prevails.
Termination
The licence ends if you breach these terms, and it also ends if your purchase is refunded. In either case you must stop using the application and uninstall it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
Purchase and refunds
Who sells the product
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record. This means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your transaction: it charges you, applies and remits any sales tax or VAT due in your country, and issues your invoice. Felptec SpA receives a periodic settlement from Lemon Squeezy.
Your receipt and your licence key are sent by email immediately after payment. If the email has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder before writing to support.
Refunds
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason and without explaining yourself. Write to support@guitarpickclick.com with the email address used at checkout, or request it directly through Lemon Squeezy.
The refund is issued to your original payment method. When it is processed, the associated licence stops working and the application must be uninstalled.
This policy sits alongside any statutory right of withdrawal you may have; it does not replace it.
Before you buy
The product page lists the system requirements and the known limitations of the application, including the fact that note detection is monophonic and that the installer is not code-signed. Please read that section before purchasing — it exists precisely so that nobody has to ask for a refund out of surprise.
Privacy
Your playing never leaves your computer
Note detection runs entirely on your machine, in a native engine installed with the application. Audio is not recorded, stored or transmitted. There is no cloud processing and no account to create.
What the application connects to
The application makes network requests in exactly two situations:
- Licence activation and validation. Your licence key and an identifier of the device are sent to Lemon Squeezy's licensing service, which answers whether the licence is valid and within its device limit.
- Update checks. The application asks GitHub Releases whether a newer version exists. Nothing about you is sent; if there is no internet connection, the check fails silently.
There is no analytics, no telemetry, no usage tracking and no advertising in the application.
Settings and diagnostics
Your preferences — colours, language, scales, progressions, voicings, tuner settings — are stored locally on your computer and are never uploaded.
The application keeps a short technical diagnostic log locally, used to investigate audio problems. It contains no audio and nothing personal. It is only exported if you press the export button yourself, and it is then up to you whether to send it to support.
Payment data
Payment is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. Felptec SpA never sees or stores your card details. What we do receive is the email address associated with your purchase, which is used to deliver your licence key, to answer support requests and to notify you about updates that affect the product you bought.
This website
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and builds no visitor profile. Your browser's requests are logged by the hosting provider in the ordinary course of serving the page.
If you join the macOS notification list, the only thing stored is your email address, used once to tell you the macOS version is available. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Your rights
You may ask what data associated with your email address exists, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to support@guitarpickclick.com. Deleting the email address associated with a licence will make that licence unrecoverable, so we will say so before proceeding.
